4 weeks to start being more aware of what you eat and why you choose it

First of all: what does it mean EATING WITH INTENTION? In a few words, it’s related to the idea of being truly aware of the entire process of eating and don’t only mindless getting some fuel for your body.

During the last years, I had the chance to apply the mindfulness-based approach to myself and I have found it pretty useful, both for general life issues and for the food-related ones. But I have tried to get a bigger view of it. When I talk with my clients about this kind of approach, I often refer to it in terms like “eating with intention”, “being present”, “being conscious of your relationship with food” – I use what I have learned during my holistic studies (I hold a diploma as massage therapist, and I have started practicing yoga in 2009), paired with science, to improve their relationship with food and with themselves.

With this program, I’d like to drive your attention to the idea of bringing more awareness to the entire process of eating. First, let’s change that eating with nourishing – makes much more sense in relation to what we are talking about! Then, you may want to ask me: what’s included in that process?

  • your relationship with food
  • your relationship with yourself (your health, well-being, mind, and body)
  • what you choose to eat
  • your approach to grocery shopping
  • your approach to cooking
  • how you prepare your food
  • what you choose to put on your table
  • how you eat

STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM

Overall, the program will include:

* 2 consultations 1:1

* 4 weekly checklists

WEEK 1

  • You will receive an activity checklist for the first week
  • You will learn why it’s important to start bringing more awareness into the eating process and what to start focusing on
  • You will learn how to keep a food diary and how to review it by yourself
  • You will fill out a brief weekly progress report (your chance to open up, share your thoughts, and ask questions)

WEEK 2

  • We will meet for a 45 minutes consultation (Skype or face to face in Dublin)
  • You will receive an activity checklist for the second week (we will adapt it to your specific needs if necessary)
  • You will learn why it’s important to have some moments of daily check-in with yourself and how to put them into practice

WEEK 3

  • You will receive an activity checklist for the third week
  • You will learn more about daily routines and how they can help you to be more present in your everyday life
  • You will get practical about building a daily routine that suits your needs
  • You will fill out a brief weekly progress report (your chance to open up, share your thoughts, and ask questions)

WEEK 4

  • We will meet for a 45 minutes consultation (Skype or face to face in Dublin)
  • You will receive an activity checklist for the fourth week (we will adapt it to your specific needs if necessary)
  • Closing thoughts and questions

BUT ALSO…

At the begin of each week, you will receive 2 lovely vegetarian recipes (with a note on how to turn them into a vegan option, if you prefer it), for a total of 8 new recipes within the entire duration of the program.

HOW DOES IT WORK FOR THE 2 CONSULTATIONS? If you live in Dublin or nearby, we can arrange a consultation on Saturday at Dublin Holistic Centre – otherwise, we will arrange a Skype consultation.

WHERE IS THE PROGRAM AVAILABLE? The program is available both in English and Italian everywhere (with the only exclusion for residents in America and Canada).

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a diet plan and it would not include a detailed study of your nutritional/medical history. It’s a journey to start bringing more awareness into the whole eating process, based on some 1:1 work and some written content that will be the same for each client.
